Certified vehicle record requests are generally intended for official use by courts and law enforcement. More information is available on the DOL public records page: https://dol.wa.gov/about/public-disclosure/requesting-public-records.

To request West Virginia vehicle information, complete Form DMV-100-TR, Request for Vehicle Information. Include the requester information, vehicle details, permitted purpose, signature, copy of a state-issued photo ID, and applicable fees.

Fees vary by record type, including $1.50 for basic vehicle registration information, $5.00 for lien/basic registration information or title copy, and $25.00 for title history. Fees are non-refundable.

To request a Wisconsin vehicle record, complete Form MV2896, Vehicle/Driver Record Information Request. Provide the vehicle identifiers, select current owner or owner history, sign the certification, and include payment.

Vehicle records are $5.00 for non-certified copies and $10.00 for certified copies. If personal information is requested, select the applicable authorization under the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act.

If you are the owner of record on the title, contact the County Clerk in the county where the title was issued for duplicate title assistance. If you are the registered owner of record, contact the County Treasurer in the county where the license plate and registration were issued.

For a Wyoming title search, complete the MV-220 Privacy Disclosure Agreement. You must qualify under the federal privacy disclosure requirements, and each title search is $15.00. A title search request must include at least one identifier, such as the VIN, title number, or legal owner name.

For a license plate registration search, provide the plate number, vehicle type, make, and year.
